The Affinity Credit Union Meeting Room is another of the Kerry Vickar Centre’s professionally constructed facilities offering a space with large windows to complement our unique seating arrangements. In addition to this, the Affinity Credit Union Meeting Room also includes in room access to an outdoor patio and other amenities including sinks, counters and wifi.

The Kerry Vickar Centre‘s wet and dry Craft Rooms offer top of the line facilities that are equipped with sinks, counters, tables and storage for regular users that provide the perfect space for art groups, meetings and much more!

The Bourgault Board Room, located in the Kerry Vickar Centre, is a high class space for professional meetings, gatherings and more. Offering a large table, screen and many other optional amenities, the Bourgault Board Room is a great place to host your next event.

The Sherven-Smith Art Gallery is a high class art gallery that welcomes artist exhibitions of their original art works. In addition to this, the Kerry Vickar Centre also houses five display cases that offer the display of artwork to a large audience of viewers.

Hall Weddings - Have a large scale wedding with lots of guests? No problem! The Swartout Hall totals 9,439 square feet, representing 29.2% of the entire facility and, with its optional dividing wall, the space can separate into two rooms; each half of the Swartout Hall has a full-size screen, access to sound and video outputs and, with its built-in sound system, this highly flexible space with many set up options will be the perfect backdrop for your special day!

Kerry Vickar was born in the Melfort Hospital and attended Brunswick School, Division III and MUCC. He played fastball, football and was a member of the high school band. At age 17, he moved to Winnipeg with his family. Following graduation, he attended the University of Manitoba and studied business administration. He also obtained a law degree and practiced before getting into the packaging industry.

In 1989 he moved to Toronto for business, and in 1991 moved to Charlotte, North Carolina with apackaging business. That business was sold and in 1998 he founded CorrFlex Graphics, which grew through multiple acquisitions to 12 manufacturing locations, with over 1,000 full-time and 2,500 temporary employees. In 2004 he led the sale of CorrFlex to Sonoco Products Company, a $3 billion public company. Most recently, Mr. Vickar founded VSTH Group, LLC, an investment banking and private equity firm.

In addition to his numerous business accomplishments, Mr. Vickar also established the L. Kerry Vickar Charitable Foundation to provide assistance to underprivileged individuals and children. When announcing his $1 million contribution to this facility in Melfort, Mr. Vickar commented on growing up in a small community, “there is a lot to be said for the values that you can learn in a small community that probably don’t exist, certainly to the same degree anyway, in a larger community.”
