The off-leash dog park is located near Spruce Haven Park, and is the only area in the City where dogs can be off-leash in public.
The park is open all year round and is fully fenced.
The dog park gives dogs and their owners a safe environment to exercise, play and socialize with other dogs. Users are reminded to obey the rules posted at the park's entrance.
Small Dog Area
Suggested use:
- Dogs under 30lbs
- Less active senior dogs and/or those who are more comfortable with smaller friends
- Placement of dogs in this area is at the owners discretion
Large Dog Area
Suggested use:
- Dogs over 30lbs
- Active small dogs (Those who think they are big dogs)
- Placement of dogs in this area is at the owners discretion
Rules
- Use park at your own risk
- Owners are legally responsible for the behavior of their dog(s) at all times
- Dogs must be leashed while entering and exiting the park
- Dog waste must be cleaned up by their owners immediately
- Owners must be within the dog park and supervising their dog with a leash readily available
- Dog handlers must be at least 13 years or age
- Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times
- Aggressive dogs must be removed immediately
- Dogs should be under voice control
- Gates closed at all times
